William
Cronon is UW-Madison
Professor of History, Geography & Environmental Studies. His research
seeks to understand the history of human interactions with the natural world and
how we depend on the ecosystems around us to sustain our material lives. He
is the author of several books, including Uncommon Ground: Rethinking the
Human Place in Nature and Nature's Metropolis: Chicago and the Great West.
Morgan
Brown ---
Assistant Commissioner Morgan Brown oversees charter school programs, special
education policy, food and nutrition services, adult basic education, and
American Indian education programs at the Minnesota Department of Education (MDE).
Previously, he served as the Assistant Deputy Secretary for the Office of
