Dan Austin, Director at Luckiamute Valley Charter School has been working with Oregon Department of Education and Hungerford Law Firm to clarify the calculation for the poverty rate paid by the sponsor to charter schools. You will find documents attached to help you understand this complicated issue to achieve just compensation. Dan would be happy to share what he has learned with you in person or by telephone.

	Look for legislation this session to clarify the issues.
	You may want to partner with other directors to sponsor legislation.
	We would be happy to present to small groups of directors. Contact to arrange a visit.
	Study the documents and work with your Sponsor to collect your poverty rate.
